You may remember a while ago we told you all about our very own Craig’s brave action for a worthy cause. Well, we are pleased to let you know that on Saturday 30th March, Craig successfully completed his abseil down The Spinnaker Tower, all in aid of the Neonatal ward at Portsmouth Hospital!
It was the perfect day for it – glorious spring sunshine in the heart of Portsmouth. Craig decided to take on the challenge of an abseil 100 meters down the side of this iconic building to raise awareness and funds for the Neonatal ward, as they do such an amazing job.
“My colleague Hannah had an emergency caesarean at 26 weeks following a very difficult pregnancy. On the 28/09/17 baby Teddy arrived weighing just 1lb 11oz. His future was very unstable with Hannah and her partner Dan being told to take it day by day. The staff and the care that Teddy received in the Portsmouth Neonatal Ward has been fantastic. Teddy has had a roller-coaster journey and continues to fight hard all the way.”
An incredible £832.00 was raised in donations. This amazing amount of money will go on to benefit so many small babies and their families, such as Teddy’s.
Thank you – every penny is very much appreciated.
